 tool that allows for quickly and easily designing posters, signs, fliers and more, allowing for a variety of customizations with backgrounds, clipart, and text, while also allowing users to upload and use their own pictures.  My own high school kids have used it to complete one page posters referred to as visual book reports.  Their end products were printed for display purposes in the library, and used for visuals for book-talks done by both the librarians and the students. We even use them in digital frames that loop through pictures at our circulation desk, and students have responded to the "book-reports" created in Poster My Wall by checking out those titles.   The site does not require an account though that is an option, and those opting to use the free version can create professional looking posters and download for printing in minutes.  My school secretary was so impressed with the site she has even used it to create fliers for events and activities at school.   The site is easy enough for even elementary school students.  Like Wordle, my collaborating teachers are finding some very interesting uses for Poster My Wall. Cons?  It is not a replacement to Glogster by any means, but a poster app none the less. (Rec by Cathy Jo Nelson)

Suggestions for using Voxer for a book study. (Most of the ones I"ve been in don't use the don't read ahead rule)

This is an excellent Hyperdoc for a book study of Squint. It might be more thorough than you need. It would be a great book for middle school, and is available on audio during COVID

Scheduled for October. Read aloud the chosen book to your class, then connect with others worldwide through various means.  There are books at three different levels.

Although these are resources for one book provided by the author, she includes some tools that would work with any book.  I really like her grid of reading response options-- downloadable.

I've been on Richie's email list for years (and I've even met him), but never thought to look for a single  place that holds all of his reviews.  He writes some of the most complete reviews I know of, always connecting the books to other events, songs, or materials. I'm often jealous when he writes reviews for great books months before they are released.

Very thorough list/pages of resources, including organizational tools, student pages, and even book suggestions.  Laura Candler sells several things on her website, but she also gives a LOT away for free.

This blog, started by two New York moms, reviews many children's books.  They are searchable by title, author, reading level, and more.  Their rating system is a bit different than many other (such as levels of humor)

Neat idea; maybe you could have students create a pinterest board for a book.

I found this website that has multiple activities with fractions.  It includes the materials needed for the activities and instructions.  It lists extensions and assessment ideas.  It also has a listing of books about fractions.  It even contains links to other websites where students can play fraction games.  (And I only had trouble accessing one of the links.)
